Bringing coherence to the core work of our schools is the focus for this year’s Quality Educator (QE) Conference. The QE Conference encourages teachers, principals, and district-level leaders to come together to learn and plan continuous improvement strategies for their schools and districts.
Participants in this year’s conference will benefit in the following areas:
Cultivate the habits of mind that improve the effectiveness of teams and help foster a supportive culture of continuous improvement
Discover opportunities for data-driven dialogue that impact the collaborative inquiry process
Experience protocols to be used in fostering the collaborative use of data
Learn strategies for observing practice and appreciating the importance of examining instruction for the purpose of improving it
Experience a cycle of inquiry improvement model that utilizes achievement and instructional practice data
Develop a set of leadership actions that impact teaching and learning
Deepen understanding of data literacy so as to develop and improve the skills, understandings, and culture for data use in schools
Create a plan for integrating the improvement process into daily work
The educational playing field in Wisconsin has rarely seen the array of changes we are now experiencing in such a short time. And the effects of these changes have forced educators at all levels to re-evaluate how time, funds, and resources are used. To ensure that professional development does not suffer, we have combined our resources to offer one annual convention. This means that all educators, teachers and administrators alike, will hear the same messages, cooperatively address issues and opportunities facing everyone in education, and collaborate on action plans to address local issues affecting students in individual schools and districts.
